Small Beginnings
Sleekstone Executive Housekeeping was started in Pembrokeshire in 2012 by the founder, Dympna Pettit, who wanted to create a housekeeping business which was a ‘little bit different’; a bespoke, exceptionally high-quality service for beautiful homes that reflected clients’ needs and requirements, rather than being a ‘one size fits all’ service which seemed to be the norm.
Expansion
2017 saw the decision to expand the business, taking on staff to enable more clients to be added to the existing portfolio, along with diversifying into commercial work as well as domestic.
New Areas
A demand for our services in a different part of the UK led to the focus for our expansion being centred on Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire where a greater mix and quantity of clients would facilitate our expansion.

Work is checked regularly to ensure that our high standards are maintained. We also ask you to maintain regular open dialogue with us so that, if for any reason, our service falls below what you require and we expect, we can deal with it quickly and to your satisfaction.

One of the core values of Sleekstone is the protection of our earth for the enjoyment of future generations; this is also a core value for a growing number of people the world over. We all have a duty to care for our planet so that we can pass it on to our descendants.
Sleekstone has the welfare of our clients, their homes, our staff and the planet at its core. Without one of them the rest will not function. If we do not look after our planet, we will not be able to leave a world for our children, grand-children and great grand-children.
We have therefore built our business on providing cleaning services which are in line with environmentally-friendly and sustainable practices through the use of eco-friendly cleaning products that are free from harsh chemicals and which will not harm us or our world.

Our Traditional Approach
Our homes are our most expensive asset, whether we rent or purchase them, and they deserve the appropriate due care and attention in their cleaning and presentation.
We offer a very traditional service but for the modern, hectic lifestyle – all work is undertaken using eco-friendly products. Wooden furniture and floors are lovingly cared for with wax products to make them gleam; slate is treated regularly with oil to show it at its best and make it last.
Stainless steel and chrome are polished with the correct products to ensure that any scratches, the result of daily use, are kept to a minimum; mirrors and windows are polished with glass cleaner, squeegeed then buffed with a soft cloth to remove streaks so that they look like new; natural stone worktops are cleaned with appropriate cleaners to ensure that they gleam and provide decades of service;
Fitted carpets are vacuumed thoroughly but rugs (depending on their size) will be taken outside and shaken or beaten well to remove all traces of dust from not only the rug, but also the rest of the house; delicate light fittings and ornate picture frames are dusted with soft long-bristled brushes to remove dust without damaging the item.
Our Staff
We want our staff to feel part of what we call the ‘Sleekstone Family’; they have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the business through suggestions which will improve the company and its services for clients.
Should a member of staff wish to progress to management those opportunities are also available.
Flexible working hours to accommodate family commitments are critical to many as we all work to attain a good work-life balance – Sleekstone works hard to ensure that our staff benefit from the ability to work around family commitments.
Our staff are well-rewarded for good work; we all spend the majority of our waking hours at work so it is important to ensure that we enjoy them and feel valued.
Most importantly, we want our staff to have fun whilst working.
